Having one of these days...

...where I'd like to just stay in p.j.'s and do nothing today. And I probably would, too--
if it weren't for this girl:

Who went in her room, picked out her clothes, and got dressed all by herself.
Her shirt was on backwards and she put her pants on upside down
(and came to me giggling like she had done the funniest thing ever).

And today, it sort of was...and now I'm going to go shower.

The Jo-llis's (or possibly The Tu-nes's)

What started with these 4:

has led to these 17 (and counting):

I'm sorry I don't have a photo to capture the awesomeness of the 15 (and counting, eh?) of those of us in the middle.
So...36 people in a 12,000 square foot cabin filled with costumes, crafts and catch phrases=one wacky weekend!
p.s. if this makes no sense, blame those twinners in the first picture...

The San Francisco Treat

Okay, I'm a bit behind on the blog (technical difficulties, once again). At the end of August, Kevin and I got to go to San Francisco (like...by ourselves!) to go to my friend Brianne's wedding. Brianne and I grew up 2 houses away from each other, have the same birthday (just mine's a year earlier) and were basically inseparable as kids. Lily keeps asking me to tell her stories about when I was a little girl, and most of them include memories I have with Brianne. We have recently reconnected (through the powers of Facebook) and even though this was the first time I'd seen her in probably 15 years, it was amazing (though cliche sounding) how the years were erased and it was just like old times again. I love this family and this incredible woman and I'm so happy for friendships like this that are never ending (man, I sound old). The wedding was beautiful and amazing (and really, have you ever seen a more perfect bride in your life?). I'm so happy we were able to be a part of such a special day!

p.s. it also made for a pretty good excuse for Kevin and I to have a nice weekend away together(thanks mom and dad!) :)
p.p.s. so sad I have crazy, mid-blink eyes in that picture of us...

Thanks Heather for taking these beautiful photos and for capturing a little piece of our every day lives. We love them and you (and man, do we love these kids)!!!

Who are the people in your neighborhood?

(oh the people that you meet when you're walkin down the street....)

Well, these are the some of the people we've met in our neighborhood (or Sugarhood--what have you).

Have I mentioned before how much we love our ward? I guess I've had to since they started this blog for us. We have made such good friends during the last few years we've lived here. But in some secret meeting unbeknownst to us, they all got together and decided that now that we all get along so well, this would be the perfect time to move away (okay, so maybe there were a few of us uninvited). But to have a chance to take a moment and say our good-byes (thank you Chris Harrison from the Bachelor for that line), we had a barbecue this week over at Liberty Park. It was a good time including:

Bocce ball

and fun times for all!

Some of the little reasons we love our ward:

So whether coming or going (or just stickin around like us!), we're so grateful for the friendships we've made and wish everyone the best!
